MEDIA RELEASE - NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS OF SA (NAAMSA)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa (NAAMSA) announces that, at the Annual General Meeting of the Association held in Pretoria on 9^th December, 2004, Dr Johan van Zyl, President and Chief Executive Officer, Toyota South Africa Motors  (Pty) Ltd, was elected as President of NAAMSA for the year 2005.

Mr Andreas Tostmann, Managing Director, Volkswagen of South Africa (Pty) Ltd, was elected as Vice President for 2005.

NAAMSA Chief Executives also took leave to two long serving office bearers – Mr Ian Robertson (President of NAAMSA for the past four years) and Mr Christoph Köpke (Past President of NAAMSA since 2002) – who will be taking up international assignments early next year.

NAAMSA’s Annual Report for 2004 was approved at the AGM and is available, on request, in electronic format from the NAAMSA offices.
